Comparisons
Comparing your options honestly.
These guides compare approaches and materials, not companies. We do not name competitors, and we do not tell you that we are cheaper or better, you have no way to verify either, and nor does anyone claiming it.

Decision guides
What are you deciding?
Managed service, marketplace or independent painter
Three genuinely different ways to get a wall painted, with different responsibilities, risks and price structures. Which suits you depends on the job and how much you want to manage.
Read the guideChoosing a paint by its properties
How to compare paints on the things that actually matter for your surface, washability, sheen, exterior durability, odour, rather than on the brand on the tin.
Read the guideEmulsion vs enamel paint
Two paints built for different surfaces, not two grades of the same one. What actually distinguishes them, and what happens when the wrong one goes on a wall or a gate.
Read the guideEpoxy vs PU flooring
Hardness against flexibility for a resin floor. Which conditions favour each system, and where the difference actually shows up in use.

How we write these
Our rules for comparison content.
- We compare models and materials, never a named competitor.
- Where we have an obvious interest in the answer, we say so on the page.
- Every guide carries a reviewed date, because this information goes stale.
- We describe the cases where our own approach is the wrong choice.
- No claim appears unless it can be explained mechanically or sourced.
Let us look at your walls first.
Tell us about the property and we will set up a free colour and wall inspection. You get a written, itemised quotation afterwards, with no obligation to go ahead.
- We call you back the same day to get a picture of the property and the surfaces.
- We agree a time and come out for the free inspection.
- You get the written scope and itemised quotation.
- Nothing starts until you approve it.
