PremiumWalls services
Specialised coatings and application methods for demanding surfaces and sites.
Spray application, epoxy floors, roof coatings and high-rise exteriors. Work where the surface, the environment it has to survive and the access arrangement drive the specification, and where the survey matters more than the quotation.

At a glance
What counts as specialised painting?
Work that needs equipment, coatings or access beyond a normal brush and roller: spray finishing, epoxy and industrial floor systems, heat-reflective roof coatings, and high-rise exterior work at height. These are specified from a site survey, because the surface and the operating environment decide what will actually hold.
What makes a project specialised?
Usually one of four things: the surface, the environment it has to survive, how high it is, or how flawless the finish has to be.
The floor takes traffic, loads or chemicals
A floor coating is specified from how the floor is used, not how it looks. How the slab is prepared decides whether it holds at all.
The finish has to be completely mark-free
Spray application gives an even surface with no brush or roller texture, on large areas or fiddly profiles.
The building is too tall for ladders and scaffolding
Rope access or cradle work, which is as much a safety and permissions exercise as a painting one.
The roof gets extremely hot
Reflective roof systems exist for this, but they need a suitable surface underneath and honest expectations about what they do.
We cannot shut the plant down
Sequencing, ventilation, curing times and safety coordination have to be planned with your operations team, not around them.
The specification has to be documented
A method statement, a surface preparation standard, the coating system and inspection records, where your process needs them.

How we work
Survey, method, then application
Site survey before specification
We look at the surface, its condition, the exposure and the working environment. Nothing is specified off a phone description.
The surface decides the system
How a coating performs depends almost entirely on what it goes onto and how that surface is prepared. This is where most floor and roof systems fail.
Method statement and access plan
How the work will be done, what equipment is used, how access is arranged and what safety measures apply, all agreed before anyone starts.
Operational coordination
Shutdown windows, ventilation, exclusion zones and who needs to be told, worked out with your team.
Controlled application and curing
Most specialised systems have set conditions and curing periods. Putting a floor back into service too early is what ruins it.
Documented handover
What was applied, where, and what maintenance it needs. Any technical claim we make is one we can back up from the manufacturer's documentation.
Specialised Painting — your questions.
How long before an epoxy floor can be used again?
Epoxy systems keep curing for a while after they stop feeling tacky, and light foot traffic, full foot traffic and vehicle or load traffic each become possible at different points. The exact times come from the product's own documentation, and we give them to you with the specification rather than estimate.
Do heat-reflective roof coatings actually reduce the temperature inside?
A reflective coating cuts how much of the sun's heat the roof surface takes in. How much difference that makes inside depends on the construction, the insulation, the ventilation and the space below, so we will not quote you a temperature drop or an energy saving. We can tell you what the product documentation claims and whether your roof is a suitable surface for it.
How is high-rise exterior painting done safely?
By rope access or a suspended cradle, depending on the building, with the access method, the anchor points, the exclusion zones below and the weather limits all agreed in the method statement before work starts. Building or association permissions are usually needed, and we will tell you what to arrange.
Can spray painting be done in an occupied building?
In a contained, properly masked area, yes, but spray carries further than people expect and needs ventilation and an exclusion zone. In an occupied office or home we usually contain the area and schedule it outside working hours, and we will tell you at the survey whether it is realistic.
Why does the floor need so much preparation?
Because a floor coating is only as good as its bond to the slab. Laitance, oil contamination, old coatings and moisture in the slab all stop it sticking, and mechanical preparation is what removes them. A coating on an unprepared slab lifts under traffic however good it is.
