Exterior house painting built for Bengaluru's monsoon.
Outside walls take sun, rain and wind that interiors never see. The system matters as much as the shade, and the preparation matters more than either.

At a glance
What is different about exterior painting?
Exterior surfaces are exposed to sun, driving rain and swings in temperature, so they need coatings formulated for weather rather than appearance. Preparation is different too: growth and chalking have to come off, cracks need sealing against water, and the right exterior primer has to go on. Access and weather windows shape the schedule.
When this is the answer, and when it is not.
Sending you to the wrong service wastes your money and our time. This is how to tell.
This is likely right if
- The exterior has faded, chalked or gone patchy in the sun
- Fine cracking is letting water into the wall
- The building is being prepared for sale, handover or a society deadline
- The last exterior coat is more than a few years old and losing its finish
Something else comes first if
- Water is already coming through to the inside, which needs waterproofing first
- Plaster is blown or falling, which needs rebuilding before coating
- The monsoon is in full flow; most exterior systems need a dry, cured surface
What the service includes.
Condition survey
We look at every elevation for cracking, chalking, growth, previous coating failure and where water is likely getting in.
Cleaning and growth removal
Algae, moss and loose chalky material taken off, because nothing bonds to it.
Crack sealing
Cracks opened, filled and sealed so the wall is not left with a route for water.
Exterior primer
Chosen for the substrate and the exposure of that elevation.
Weather-resistant finish coats
Applied to the agreed system, working with the weather rather than through it.
Access and reinstatement
Ladders or scaffolding as the height requires, and the surroundings left clean.
Not included, or quoted separately
- Structural crack repair and any work requiring an engineer
- Waterproofing treatment where water is actively entering
- Replastering of blown or missing sections, unless quoted
- Roof and terrace coating, which is a separate service
- Repair of gutters, downpipes and drainage
The sequence.
Elevation-by-elevation survey
Each face of the building weathers differently, so we assess and specify them separately rather than as one number.
Written scope and access plan
Including how we reach the height involved and what that means for your neighbours and parking.
Clean and prepare
Growth removal, scraping, crack sealing and priming.
Weather window
We schedule application into dry conditions. Coating a wet wall is the fastest way to make the job fail.
Apply the system
Primer and finish coats to specification, elevation by elevation.
Final inspection
Walked with you from ground level and from any accessible height, then snags closed.
What moves the price on this job.
We do not publish a rate, because it would change once someone measured your property. These are the variables that decide it.
- Measured elevation area and the building's height
- Access method: ladder, scaffolding, cradle or rope
- Condition of the existing coating and how much has to come off
- Extent of crack sealing and surface repair
- Grade of exterior system specified for the exposure
- Weather constraints and how tightly the schedule is fixed
Exterior House Painting — your questions.
How often does an exterior need repainting?
It depends on the exposure, the system used and the condition of the wall underneath. A west-facing elevation takes far more sun than a sheltered one and will always go first. We'll tell you what we see rather than quoting a general interval.
Can you paint the exterior during the monsoon?
We can survey and quote at any time, and rain often makes problems easier to find. Application is different: most exterior systems need a dry, cured surface and will not perform if applied wet, so we schedule into dry windows.
Do you need scaffolding?
It depends on the height and the elevation. Two storeys can often be reached with ladders; taller buildings need scaffolding, a cradle or rope access, and that gets planned and priced before we start.
Will exterior paint stop water coming in?
Not by itself. Exterior coatings shed weather from a sound wall; they do not seal an active leak or a structural crack. If water is already reaching the inside, that needs diagnosis and waterproofing first.
Do we need society permission?
In an apartment or a gated community, usually yes, for access, working hours and often the colour itself. We'll tell you what to arrange, and we can explain the scope to your association if that helps.
